Obtain your prescription by one of the following methods: A.) Go to your local ophthalmologist or optomertrist. They must give you a signed written prescription - this is a federal law. Send in the original prescription or a photocopy (we will return it to you). Customer written prescriptions are not acceptable. We are unable to process any order if we do not have a written, signed prescription, or a copy of your current prescription on file. B.) We are able to take your current prescription from your lenses if you send us your glasses.

Insurance Claims / Alaska Customers Only: We are currently accepting insurance claims from our Alaska customers. Please email or fax your insurance information to accompany your order, or contact us for further information.
Shipping and Delivery:
Delivery Time: Single-vision glasses are generally shipped within 4 to 7 business days from the time we receive your order. Orders for Bifocals, Trifocals, strong prescriptions, plus extras such as glass tintings and anti-reflective coatings, are usually shipped within 10 business days from the time we receive your order. Unless otherwise requested your order will be shipped via the United States Postal Service, standard first class mail (approximately 5 to 7 business days - depending on your area).
Standard Shipping: is via the United States Postal service First Class mail, the cost for first class shipping and handling is $12.50
Overnight Express Mail: Most plastic lenses can be shipped the next working day if your order is received before 10:00 am Eastern time. All other orders shipping Overnight Express will generally* arrive within 24 hours of the time we ship it. The cost for Express Mail is $32.00. Please note*: Overnight Express takes 2 to 3 days in some areas (i.e. Alaska & Hawaii) and is not available on C.O.D. orders.
Priority Mail: In most metropolitan areas Priorty mail is delivered within 2 to 3 days, other areas may take a day or so longer. The Postal Service will not guarantee the exact time of delivery but it is considerably faster than standard first class service. The cost is $19.00.
C.O.D. Orders: ALASKA CUSTOMERS ONLY - You may have your order shipped C.O.D. but due to the high cost of shipping , handling and record keeping there is a $17.00 additional charge for all C.O.D. orders. However - you may save the $17.00 C.O.D. charge by sending in a $50.00 deposit with your order* Please note*:if ordering online, to be able save the C.O.D. charge, we must receive your $50.00 deposit before your C.O.D. can be shipped.

"Are you able to put new lenses in a pair of frames I own?" Yes, if your frames are in good condition - however, although great care is taken while working with your glasses, we cannot be responsible for any breakage that may occur while working on your frame. Also, if your order is for "lenses only", we must have your frame for proper lens fitting.
"I purchased frames for reading at my local drug store - can you use these frames for my prescription?" No, "drug store" frames - or over-the-counter "readers" are not suitable for new prescription lenses.
"I broke my frames but my lenses are still good - can you put my lenses in a new frame?" Yes, we can put your lenses into a plastic frame (not metal), if they are the right size and shape. It is best to give us a few frame choices when ordering, or instruct us to choose the "best fit" and give us a price range.
"I am very pleased with my new glassess and would like another pair - do you need me to send a copy of my prescription again?" No, if you have not had a change in your prescription, we keep a complete record of your previous order on file.
"I like the new "changeable" lenses but I don't need a prescription. Can I order lenses with no prescription?" Yes, we can provide you with all the latest optical lenses with no prescription - or what we call "non-prescription". You may order, using the prices on the lens price chart, and mark your order "non-prescription". |
Please note: if you are ordering non-prescription lenses to be used on the job - or at home - for Safety protection, you must order Polycarbonate lenses. Be sure to note on your order that these are to be used as "safety glasses". For more information on safety eyewear, please contact us.
